Qualified University of Birmingham in 1995 with Distinction. Post graduate training included Oxford, Leicester and London including PhD (Kings) -awarded two European Prizes. After completing Darzi Fellowship and accreditation in General Internal, Respiratory & Intensive Care Medicine, appointed Consultant in Intensive Care and Respiratory Medicine at RBHT. Currently Clinical Lead of Lung Division Harefield Hospital. Research interests include management of resistant ICU infections, ECMO, weaning and Non Invasive ventilation, Delirium and Acute Respiratory failure, COPD and Co-morbidity optimisation. Has been a member of several guideline writing groups and committees for the Dept of Health, British Thoracic Society and Royal College of Physicians.
