
Ruth Law
Consultant in Integrated Geriatric Medicine,

After completing her pre-clinical studies at Cambridge University, Dr Ruth Law graduated from University College London Medical School. She trained in and around London achieving her CCT in Geriatric Medicine, Stroke Medicine and General Internal Medicine in 2014. Since then she has worked as an Integrated Geriatrician at Whittington Health in North London where she is clinical lead for care of older people and participates in the acute medical take. Within her department she has set up the nationally renowned Integrated Community Ageing Team (ICAT) which delivers comprehensive geriatric assessment to care home residents and housebound older people. She has presented widely on this topic and contributed to NHS England stake holder work around care homes. Her work resulted in her being awarded the British Geriatrics Society Rising Star Award for quality in 2018 Dr Law was selected to participate in the first cohort of the Emerging Women Leaders Programme at RCP and completed this in the summer of 2019. She is an elected member of the RCP Council. She also contributes widely to postgraduate education- she has been a Geriatrics SCE question writer since 2017 a PACES examiner and was a training programme director within her Trust. She is passionate about integrated multidisciplinary working and interdisciplinary learning to deliver person-centred care for frail older people.
