Appointed as Consultant Anaesthetist in 2005, with a special interest in obstetric anaesthesia. Works in UCLH's busy maternity unit, a tertiary referral centre with nearly 7000 deliveries per year. Training lead in obstetric anaesthesia, educational supervisor to obstetric clinical and research fellows for 14 years. Introduced an enhanced recovery programme for elective Caesarean sections. Part of the team performing fetal surgery for spina bifida and EXIT procedures at UCLH.
