Mike is a Palliative Medicine Physician at SWB NHS Trust, working within a connected service that looks after patients in both the acute hospital and community settings. He has co-led a new virtual ward for patients with complex palliative care needs and works closely with acute medicine colleagues. Mike is the local wellbeing lead for junior doctors and co-leads a regional scheme, Thriving in Medicine, which is a spiral training program addressing key themes around professional wellbeing. Mike is an Honorary Lecturer in Bioethics at the University of Birmingham and sits of the Black Country ICS Clinical Ethics Committee. Mike has three daughters, supports Arsenal FC and likes to try his hand at baking.
