East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust,
Dr Gent has an interest in paediatric anaesthesia and head and neck anaesthesia; including free tissue transfer surgeries and high risk surgeries including the patient journey through the critical care unit. Her fellowships in plastics and burns, liver transplant and paediatric anaesthesia including PICU and retrieval has cemented these interests and afforded her with a unique set of transferable skills. She completed her medical school training in 2008 at Guys and St Thomas’ School of medicine and her trainee years were spent throughout Guy’s, St Thomas’ and Kings college Hospitals. She is currently a consultant Anaesethetist in East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust where she is the airway lead. She is passionate about teaching and training and is seen regularly teaching in the trust’s simulation lab. Out side of work, she lives in the Kentish countryside with her goats, chickens, ducks, geese, dog, cat, children and husband.
