Katrina was born in the Swabian part of Germany and went to medical school in Berlin. After qualifying she came to the UK just to do her house jobs, but has been here ever since. Her unconventional career includes going back to the roots to work in Berlin for a year in 2009 and three years as a ship's doctor on cruise ships. She eventually settled down as a Consultant Anaesthetist in Fort William in 2016.
