Dr Diane Ackerley is a founder member of the Exovent charity which exists to promote the concept of negative pressure (NP) breathing support globally. Diane, a retired GP, is supporting Portsmouth Aviation and 42 Technology as they develop a 21st century NP ventilator – the Exovent-PA. With over 4 years of personal experience in the development of this ventilator, Diane has a good understanding of how patient and machine interact on a theoretical and a practical basis.
