Catherine has been a POPS consultant for 6 years, currently working at East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and has set up new POPS services in 2 trusts with the support of her colleagues at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital. Data collected on the services set up has shown improvements in length of stay, unplanned readmission rates and advanced care planning. Her area of interest is around shared decision making, supporting true patient centered care and maximising patients' satisfaction around their surgical decisions.
