Bob became a Consultant in Emergency Medicine in 2003 and has been utilising ultrasound at the point-of-care (PoCUS) for many years in practice. He is also chair of the College of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Subcommittee a member of the Ultrasound Special Interest Group for the European Society of Emergency Medicine (EuSEM) and on the Council of the British Medical Ultrasound Society, among others. He is interested in the management of major trauma, and set up and directed Advanced Trauma Life Support courses in his region, and has taught on the instructor course at the Royal College of Surgeons.
