Andy is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine based and clinical director of Adult Critical Care at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. He has been practicing and teaching Point of Care Ultrasound for over 10 years, with a particular interest in echocardiography. Since 2010 he has been involved in the development of the FICE curriculum: he was a founding member of the ICS FICE committee, and continues to represent FICE as part of the newly-formed ICS FUSIC committee. He remains a keen educator, having taught echocardiography at events throughout the UK and Europe, and he’s a firm believer that POCUS can be safely performed by all of the acute specialties.
