Security concerns present a real concern around the advent of telemedicine in the NHS.  

Although this presents an exciting development in healthcare, the digital divide poses a challenge to the widespread adoption of telemedicine. There is potential for certain demographics to be excluded from the benefits of remote healthcare services, with little access to technology or a reliable internet connection. Addressing these disparities is essential to ensure equitable access to healthcare for all.  

As telemedicine continues to evolve, it is essential for policymakers, healthcare providers, and technology developers to collaborate in overcoming challenges and maximising the potential of this transformative shift in healthcare delivery.
