In October 2021, the Royal Free Hospital launched its fully electronic health record, including electronic anaesthesia charts. Dr Fregene is their Divisional Digital Lead, and in this session he will describe the journey taken by Department of Anaesthesia as they went (almost) fully digital.

This talk will include how the Department of Anaesthesia prepared to launch its Electronic Health Record, what happened at Go-Live and what’s happened since.

Dr Fregene will speak honestly about the good, the bad and the ugly of electronic health records in anaesthesia, as well as the pitfalls, lessons learned and the ongoing challenges.
