This session will cover the effects of pregnancy on cardiac, respiratory and renal physiology as well as the metabolic changes that occur. It will also include important aspects of the care of postnatal women, including lactation. Additionally, the practical considerations and challenges that occur when a pregnant patient is present on an ITU will be presented.
