Surgeon Captain Kate Prior is a consultant anaesthetist in the Royal Navy and at King’s College Hospital in London. In recent years, her operational military role has taken her to war in Afghanistan and Iraq, Sierra Leone during the Ebola crisis, working for the UN in South Sudan and to sea with the aircraft carrier HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH. Outside of the hospital, she provides medical care at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and mass sporting events in the UK. She is a keen theatregoer, tries not to get killed cycling to work and indulges in holidays, shoes and handbags.
