Prof Emma Baker
Professor of Clinical Pharmacology, ST GEORGE'S, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON
Professor Baker is a clinical pharmacologist working in the NHS and academia. In this role she tackles the clinical problems of medicines optimisation and polypharmacy, teaches prescribing, and works as a clinical academic in her ‘therapeutic area of interest’ – airways disease. As the Clinical Vice President of the British Pharmacological Society, she is a member of the Clinical Pharmacology Skills Alliance, which aims to address the clinical pharmacology skills gap in the NHS. She is a National Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, has received multiple student-choice teaching awards and is an author of 2 best-selling pharmacology text books.
