Dr Emily Audet is an Internal Medicine Trainee Doctor based at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, West Midlands. She has recently completed 12 months out-of-program working with the Care Quality Commission as Clinical Fellow to the Chief Inspector of Hospitals whilst undertaking the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellowship Scheme. She graduated from Birmingham Medical School in 2017, having achieved a 1st Class Honours BSc in Medical Microbiology and Immunology at Newcastle University, 2012. Since co-founding an Interprofessional Education Society at the University of Birmingham, Emily has continued to develop her understanding and experience of the process of influencing, enacting and embedding change within clinical practice. Emily is passionate about enhancing patient safety and quality of care through: empowering frontline healthcare staff with skills to drive change, improving healthcare team-dynamics and team-working, and the use of story-telling and experience-sharing to influence change. Her recent fellowship focussed on driving improvement at a system-level.
