Pancreatic exocrine insufficiency in diabetes – the overlooked condition

Streams: Sponsored Session
PEI is a surprisingly common condition found in both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. It is typically undiagnosed or misdiagnosed and may however be responsible for disabling symptoms and poor glucose control and possible complications in patients with Diabetes. This presentation helps enable clinicians to recognise and manage this condition.
Learning outcomes:
1. To understand the background to and frequency of PEI in Diabetes
2. To help recognise when PEI might be present in Diabetes
3. To provide advice on the diagnosis and management of PEI in Diabetes.

Speakers
